KHDA announces that school fees for remote learning students and those attending school physically ought to stay the same for the following academic year of 2020 – 2021.

The “choice of distance learning does not impact the fees”, declares Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director-General of the KHDA.

The #AskDXBOfficial initiative on social media brought forward a recurring question from concerned parents, “Can my child continue with distance learning in the new academic year?” and whether this will affect the school fees in any way. Al Karam responded that “schools are putting together different packages to support parents who have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis.”However, schools may decide to alter the fees or assign suitable packages to financially challenged parents.

Al Karam added that KHDA encourages parents to personally discuss their issues with the school given that most of the schools are willing to support parents as much as they can.
